Proudly, a Hiligaynon… Truly, a Filipino
Earned his license as Mechanical Engineer in 1987; Passed the Professional Board Examination for Teachers in 1989; Obtained his seal as Professional Mechanical Engineer in 1998; Had a decade of experience and expertise with Saudi Aramco in its Training and Career Development Department, where he was the lone Filipino and yet excelled the race to the corporate ladder as Senior Trainer directly supervising twenty-one (21) other trainers of different nationalities.
But what truly highlights the heroic portrait of this man is not the multitudes of outstanding achievements he has carved for his name and to his acclaim but rather his commitment and dedication to reach out and be of service to his countrymen in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom. It was through his persistent effort that a landmark decision was made by then President Fidel V. Ramos in December 1997 to approve the regular conduct of licensure examination for Filipino Mechanical Engineers in the Gulf Region. His stellar leadership has undeniably been significantly etched to the hearts and minds of his fellow OFWs, as he was the only Filipino who was elected and has assumed post as President to four major Filipino organizations in the Kingdom. His genuine sense of civic consciousness has always been manifested in the various activities which he himself initiated and steered; most notable of which was the assistance program to the “Philippine Embassy on Wheels” and the empowerment seminars on counseling, negotiation and parliamentary procedures.
“Ugyon” (Unite) is his moving credo for he believes that unity is the main key to success and strength. Proudly, he radiates the best of the Hiligaynon spirit. Truly, he is a Filipino.
