While earning his living as Filipino worker overseas, Mr. Uy-Ayag devoted time in perpetuating Philippine culture.  In 1988, he choreographed “Pamana ng Lahi”, an evolution of RP dances and fashion at the Philippine Embassy grounds.  In the 1989 Independence Day Celebration, he directed the RP Arts Exhibits as well as a 3-act play coming to terms as adaptation of “Teaching Josefina”, by the Entablado Filipino. This was preceded by an acting workshop for Filipino theater enthusiasts.

Being a true Filipino at heart, he has also been an active contributor and member of the POLO-Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia Volunteer Team on Reintegration Program for OFWs. The group is responsible in developing modules and conducting seminars on a) OFW Values Reorientation; and b) OFW Sefl-Empowerment & Strategic Planning.

  • Special Award from the United Filipino Basketball Federation in recognition for the service and dedication extended to the UFBF, January 2009, KSA
  • Recipient of various certificate of recognition and appreciation from Philemb KSA, JAL International, OFW Congress for his valuable contribution as an OFW.
