Dr. Fajardo is not only known in Oman as a Filipino leader but also in the United Arab Emirates where she worked for nearly 12 years and where she served as centre in Abu Dhabi. During her incumbency, the 35,000 strong Filipino community in Abu Dhabi were benefitted with medical services by Dr. Fajardo’s medical team called ROBOT CLINIC. It was also the close coordinative work that Dr. Fajardo established with the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi which led to the resolution of the problems of a number of Filipino domestic helpers and other stranded workers. In Oman, where Dr. Fajardo took up employment with the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital as Obstetrician and Gynecologist and as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, she was instrumental in remedying an otherwise chaotic situation at the Philippine Community School in Oman. With the support of the 20,000 Filipinos in Oman, Dr. Fajardo accepted the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the School.
Dr. Fajardo’es intense involvement in the activities of the Filipino Community still allowed her to do medical research papers which were published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology in April 1988 and in the British Journal of Clinical Pathologist in May 1990. On October 29, 1986 Dr. Fajardo presented a paper at the Third World Congress on Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasms in Riode Janeiro, Brazil.
